Review: Chopper
Chopper is a high end, fast paced war game in which you must complete various missions to move on to the next level. The game is currently in the AppStore for the low price of $7.99.
Also as you may have noticed, I will now be reviewing the odd game along with the apps.
Presentation
This is a mobile phone game, so I do not expect to much of a storyline. Before each mission there is a description of whats going on, and it does the job just fine.
Score: 7.5
Graphics
Chopper’s graphics demonstrate 2D at it’s very best. The buildings and trees are drawn amazingly, and the weapons and explosions are as good as it gets.
Score: 9.5
Sound
The game has a nice tune at the start menu, and the sound of the helicopter and your weapons throughout the game. Since music can sometimes be annoying, Chopper does sound just right.
Score: 8.5
Gameplay
This is a port of a Mac game, so switching over controls methods would be difficult, right? Wrong – the developer has a fantastic way of controlling the chopper and launching weapons. It’s a great use of both motion sensing and the touch screen.
Score: 10
Value
Currently, the game sells for $7.99. Even if it cost $14.99, I would be glad to pay it. This game might be the best eight dollars you ever spend.
Score: 10
Lasting Appeal
I play this game very often, and I still have not beat it. It’s really fun each time I play and so far, I haven’t gotten bored.
Score: 9
Overall
Incredible. This game is easily one of the best apps on the AppStore so far. It’s easily my favorite game so far.
